2014 Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony -- A Special Evening

JERICHO, N.Y. (Jan. 14, 2014) - On Friday evening, the Molloy College Department of Athletics honored four individuals by inducting them into the Molloy Athletics Hall of Fame at the Milleridge Cottage in Jericho, Long Island. Maryanne Marshall Marsaggi '93 (Basketball, Volleyball & Softball), John Givargidze '99 (Baseball), Dominick Toscano '07 (Lacrosse) and Michelle Martini Tripi '02 (Basketball & Softball) joined the ranks of Molloy Athletics' most impressive and successful.

The night began with a photo session and video interviews for the inductees and their family and friends. The cocktail hour followed, with banquet guests enjoying music performed by current Molloy baseball junior John Galanoudis, who is also the NCAA Division II National Student-Athlete Advisory Committee Representative.

The main portion of the evening's itinerary started at 8 p.m. when Molloy Vice President for Student Affairs Bob Houlihan, who served as Master of Ceremonies, began by introducing a slideslow of the 35 current members of the Athletic Hall of Fame. Pasta was then served to all the guests, before Marshall Marsaggi was the first to be inducted for the Class of 2014. Salad was then dished out in between her induction and Toscano's induction. Following Toscano's induction speech, the main course for dinner was served. Following the dinner entrees, Martini Tripi was the third member of the Class of 2014 to be inducted, which was followed by dessert and coffee. The final induction of the evening was Givargidze's. Houlihan closed out the evening with some concluding remarks, including the date for the athletic department's annual golf outing (June 23, 2014) at the Hempstead Golf & Country Club.
