Stefanie Christian-Driscoll graduated from Molloy College in 1995 with a bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education with a minor in Speech. Stefanie grew up in Bethpage, New York and attended Bethpage High School where she participated in varsity Basketball, Softball and Volleyball. She was recognized for her efforts with several All County awards for both basketball and volleyball. Stefanie scored 1000 points for her Bethpage team. At Molloy, Stefanie played volleyball for four seasons, basketball for three years and participated in softball for one year.
After graduation, Stefanie began her teaching career at Roosevelt Children’s Academy in Roosevelt, New York. as a first grade teacher. In 1995, Stefanie was selected as the Head Coach of the Molloy College Volleyball program. In her one year at the helm, she compiled an overall record of 17-11 and a New York Collegiate Athletic Conference mark of 5-5. Her team posted two five match winning streaks and a season high six match winning stretch in mid season.
During her four seasons with the volleyball program, Stefanie was a major contributor and the mainstay of the squad. She was an All New York Collegiate Athletic Conference First Team selection all four years and was a New York Collegiate Athletic Conference All Star in 1991 and 1992. Molloy awards include the Rookie of the Year in 1990, Most Outstanding Player in 1991, Most Valuable Player in 1992, the Best Offensive Player in 1992 and the Best Defensive Player in 1993. During her playing career, Stefanie was a prolific attacker and defender. On the softball diamond, Stefanie was chosen as the Most Improved Player in 1992.
Stefanie married Dan Driscoll in 2002 and currently resides in Smithtown, New York. They have three children, Jack, Madison and Charlotte. Stefanie currently attends Dowling College where she is pursuing her master’s degree in Special Education. In her spare team she enjoys coaching her daughter’s pee wee soccer team.
