Reginald J. Dorsey II '00

Men's Basketball

Reginald J. Dorsey II, a resident of Kew Gardens, was a four year member of the men’s basketball team from 1996-2000.  He graduated in May 2000 with a bachelor of Arts degree in Computer Science.  Upon graduation, he began a career in graphic design and advertising, working for the commercial real estate company, CB Richard Ellis.  After five successful years, he joined Posner Advertising, a New York City based advertising agency specializing in real estate as an Art Director.  Currently, he is the Advertising Director for Creative Media Agency in Mineola, New York where he handles the advertising accounts for many New York City agencies, including the Department of Education and the Department of Health.  In September 2006, Reginald joined with his brother, Michael, to establish Dorsey and Dorsey Advertising, LLC.
 
Reginald played with fellow inductee Eric Schuh, joining him as a member of the Molloy 1,000 Point Club.  Among his achievements are the following career records: fourth in steals (206) and steal average (1.9 spg), fifth in field goal percentage (.472), sixth in field goals made (486), eighth in scoring (1200), ninth in blocked shots (37) and tenth in free throws made (192).  In 1999-2000 he finished tenth in the NYCAC (New York Collegiate Athletic Conference) in steals with 59, ranking him ninth on the Molloy single season record for steals.  Reginald averaged 11.1 points per game for his career. 
 
Reginald married his college sweetheart, Evelyn Ruano, and they are the proud parents of three-year-old Jeremiah and 2-month-old Jazmyn.  In addition to his passion for advertising and graphic design, Reginald has taken an interest in real estate.  He and his wife have purchased investment property in Orlando, Florida.
