Denise Patrick Migliaro '94

Softball
Inducted: June 15, 1998

Two decades after she played, it can still be said that Denise Patrick Migliaro is one of the best offensive talents to ever wear a Molloy College uniform. Playing under her maiden name, Denise Patick, she held a career .515 batting average and .603 on-base percentage, which both rank atop the Lions' record book. She is still penciled in the record books at second place all-time in career walks (83) and stolen bases (144). Patrick Migliaro's all-time rankings in hits (192), runs (138), slugging percentage (.590) and defensive assists (238) all sit within the top 10 of Molloy College softball history.

While she was consistent over her four seasons, each of her individual years are some of the best ever seen. In 1992, she won the NCAA Division II Statistical Championship in hitting with a .542 batting average. Three of her single seasons all rank in the top 10, hitting over .500 in each. Her 1993 campaign (.553) still ranks as the third-highest for a single season all-time.

Patrick Migliaro still holds the single-season on-base percentage record of .651 (1993), breaking her previous year’s record of .631. Moreover, she still ranks in the top 10 for single-season records in walks and stolen bases.

A success both on the field and in the classroom, in 1993 Patrick Migliaro was awarded First-Team honors on both the CoSIDA Academic All-America and CoSIDA Academic All-District squads.
