INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. (Sept. 23, 2011) – On Friday, the National Collegiate Athletic Association put out the list of student-athletes who have been selected to attend its Regional Career in Sports Forum, and four from Molloy College landed upon the ledger. The seminar will be held from October 7-9 on the University of Pittsburgh campus in Pittsburgh, Pa.

The following athletes have been accepted:

Ashley Addison (East Hanover, N.J.) – junior, women’s basketball

Megan Hutnick (Lancaster, Calif.) – senior, softball

Christina Marra (Dix Hills, N.Y.) – junior, women’s basketball

Daniel Toscano (Bethpage, N.Y.) – senior, men’s lacrosse

Throughout the course of the weekend, the student-athletes will be taking part in seminars and activities geared towards expanding and improving their resumes, learning about careers in athletics, understanding the roles of coaches and administrators in collegiate and professional athletics, as well as in sports entertainment and sports law, and encouraging diverse populations to consider careers in athletics. This experience will be an outstanding way for each student-athlete to expand their network and develop their networking abilities.

Other areas that will be focused on include the NCAA and its structure (understanding the divisional focus and services), branding yourself, goal setting and communication, networking, business etiquette, interviewing skills, job hunting, and resume preparation.
