MOLLOY SOFTBALL NEEDS YOUR HELP TO STRIKE OUT BREAST CANCER!
ROCKVILLE CENTRE, N.Y. (Apr. 19, 2012) - The Molloy College softball team recently partnered with the American Cancer Society’s “Strikeout Cancer” Initiative, accepting pledges for every strikeout recorded in helping to fight breast cancer.
As the Lions hosted Philadelphia University on April 15, both teams donned pink tee-shirts or accessories to raise awareness about breast cancer. Throughout the course of the day, the Lions and Rams combined for a total of 14 strikeouts. Junior pitcher Kelley Jansen (Long Beach, N.Y.) single-handedly recorded eight on her own.
Thus far, the Lions have raised a total of $443, and are just short of their goal of $500. If you would like to donate money to help battle this deadly disease, please click here. Every dollar counts!
