Westbury, N.Y. – The Molloy women's tennis team defeated the D'Youville Saints, 5-2, in its ECC-Opener Saturday at Eisenhower Park. The Lions improved to 1-2 overall and 1-0 in league play, while the Saints moved to 3-2 overall and 0-1 in conference play.

How it Happened

• The Lions started the day 3-0 on doubles.
• Freshman Gwen Kelly and Briana Gonzalez picked up a 6-2 victory.
• Freshmen Alyssa Baur and Julie Riedel won 6-2, and sophomore Kailey Chin and freshman Brooke Williams took the match 6-3.
• In singles, Gonzalez won her match, 6-1 and 6-1.
• Williams was victorious with a 6-1 and 6-1 match.
• Baur (6-2 and 6-3) and Riedel (6-3 and 6-4) also picked up singles wins.
